With an unquenchable thirst for the blood of virgin women, the wicked King Dark enslaves the brilliant Thai scientist Dr. Wisut to create an army of monsters to put an end to the chivalrous efforts of the cyborg warrior Kamen Riders. When their efforts fail, can the Hindu god Hanuman help? Semi-official Thai/Japan co-production between Chaiyo and Toei. Hanuman and the Five Riders is a tokusatsu superhero film produced in 1975 by Chaiyo Productions of Thailand, founded by Sompote Sands. Chaiyo's own Kamen Rider film, half of it uses footage from the Kamen Rider X film Five Riders Vs. King Dark. The rest of the footage was made by Chaiyo themselves, who even re-created the Kamen Rider costumes for some of the scenes in the film, most notably when they interact with Hanuman himself.

Production

Previously, Chaiyo collaborated with Tsuburaya Productions to create two fully official co-productions in 1974 (namely The 6 Ultra Brothers Vs. the Monster Army and Jumborg Ace & Giant). The production began initially when Sompote Sands approached Toei Company, Ltd., which produced the Kamen Rider shows, for the rights to utilize footage from Five Riders vs. King Dark in their own film, which was accepted.
