Escapement (1958)

An insurance investigator tumbles onto a series of similar deaths, by brain hemorrhage, of patients of a psychiatric clinic in France where therapy involves a device which can implant visual imagery in the minds of patients, ostensibly to help them relax.

Il terrore non ha confini è un film del 1958 diretto da Montgomery Tully e David Paltenghi. Il film è tratto dal romanzo Escapement di Charles Eric Maine, anche autore della sceneggiatura.

Produzione

Il produttore Richard Gordon in seguito affermò che c'erano grossi problemi con gli effetti speciali del film. Disse anche di aver avuto una disputa con l'Anglo-Amalgamated, che non voleva che il film ottenesse un certificato X in Inghilterra, mentre Gordon voleva che il film fosse più spaventoso. La maggior parte dei film dell'Anglo erano infatti film thriller, mentre questo aveva alcuni aspetti fantascientifici.
