楢山節考
신슈 산골의 외딴 마을. 춥고 척박한 이 마을에서는 입을 덜기 위해, 70세가 넘은 노인은 산속에 버려야 한다는 규칙이 있다. 일흔을 목전에 둔 오린은 아들 다쓰헤이에게 후처를 들이게 해 안심하고 산에 갈 수 있다고 기뻐한다.

The Ballad of Narayama is a 1958 Japanese historical drama film directed by Keisuke Kinoshita. It is based on the 1956 the story of the same name by Shichirō Fukazawa. The film explores the legendary practice of ubasute, in which elderly people were carried to a mountain and abandoned to die.
