Double Occupancy (2026)
Après une naissance miraculeuse accordée par une divinité transgenre, un enfant grandit en étant deux personnes distinctes partageant un même corps : une femme le jour et un homme la nuit, chacun avec ses propres souvenirs, rêves et désirs. Devenus adultes, tous deux tombent amoureux de partenaires différents et commencent à construire des vies séparées à Chennai. Mais lorsqu’un généticien découvre leur existence et cherche à l’exploiter, ils doivent se battre pour protéger leur secret, leurs proches et leur droit à coexister.

Double Occupancy is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language fantasy romantic comedy film directed by Aswin Kandasamy in his debut and produced by Avni Movies and Benzz Media Pvt Ltd. The film stars Santhosh, Reshma Venkatesh, Samyuktha Viswanathan and Vinoth Kishan. It deals with the concept of diurnal gender swap/diurnal metamorphosis, and was released in theatres on 12 June 2026.
Production
Double Occupancy is the debut for Santhosh in a leading role. Production began in March 2025, and wrapped in February 2026.
