Through a musical journey across Taiwan, nearly 90-year-old national treasure Yang Hsiu-Ching, a master of traditional Taiwanese narrative singing known as Liam Kua (唸歌), joins innovative musician Ko Chih-hao to revive a fading art form. Blending centuries-old storytelling with pop music, rap, visual arts, and theater, they bring Nian Ge to new audiences. From rural performances to contemporary music parties, their collaboration celebrates Taiwan's rich cultural heritage while exploring how an endangered tradition can find new life in the modern world.
