Al Sol

On a vacation, 10-year-old Elisa wants her mother to teach her to swim, but Claudia’s incessant work calls ruin her hopes. Abandoned in the midst of her parents’ divorce, Elisa decides to brave the dangers and dives into the pool.

As ten-year-old Elisa goes on holiday with her mother, she drifts into a suspended, fragile moment in time, threaded with family tensions she can’t fully grasp. She wants to learn how to swim. The water becomes a space that is alluring and unsettling, almost troubled.
