An exploration of the "Museum of the Victims of Communism"—from its initial concept to its realization and eventual opening. Special focus is placed on the history of the Macedonian people and their struggle for independence and statehood. The narrative spans the period from Ottoman rule and the revolutionaries of the Ilinden Uprising, through the Balkan Wars and the First and Second World Wars, up to the victims of communism. The film features insights from figures in politics, diplomacy, science, and culture.
