Odio (1933)

In Galicia, Octavia, a woman ostracised by society after being raped by a wealthy emigrant, raises her son Luis in bitterness and isolation. Twenty years later, as Luis falls in love with a young woman bound for Argentina, a life-threatening act of sacrifice forces Octavia to confront her past and rediscover the love she had long been unable to give.
