Mädchen hinter Gittern (1965)
The inmates of a reformatory for underage girls have had turbulent pasts: prostitution, crime, violence, and drugs dominated their lives. One of these young women is the rebellious Karin, who lets no one get close to her. Only the young pastor Johannes manages to reach her, bringing Karin's mysterious and sad past to light.

Girls Behind Bars is a 1965 West German drama film directed by Rudolf Zehetgruber and starring Heidelinde Weis, Harald Leipnitz and Harry Riebauer. It was shot at the Spandau Studios in West Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art director Heinrich Weidemann. It is a remake of the 1949 film of the same title.
