Interesting facts

Murder Rock is a 1984 Italian giallo film directed by Lucio Fulci. It stars Olga Karlatos, Ray Lovelock, Al Cliver and Claudio Cassinelli.

Production

Murder Rock was filmed between December 1983 and January 1984. Producer Augusto Caminito requested that the film, that was initially written as straight giallo, have dance scenes included after the success of the film Flashdance (1983). It filmed on location in New York from January to February 1984 with interiors shot at De Paolis Studios in Rome.

In an interview, director Lucio Fulci stated that the film was part of a "Music Trilogy" that would include two more gialli: Killer Samba and Thrilling Blues. The films were never made following Fulci's declining health.
