Kandagawa Pervert Wars is a 1983 Japanese pink film directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, who would later go on to a career directing mainstream horror films.

Background

Kiyoshi Kurosawa was one of a number of young Japanese filmmakers, several associated with Nikkatsu, who belonged to a production organization called the Director's Company which had been founded in 1982. Through the influence of fellow Director's Company member Banmei Takahashi, Kiyoshi was offered a chance to direct a pink film for Million Film.

The cast and staff of Kandagawa Pervert Wars present a kaleidoscope of figures who would become an important part of filmmaking in Japan in the 1990s and later. These include Assistant Director Toshiyuki Mizutani, Second Assistant Director Masayuki Suo who also had a minor role in the film, Third Assistant Director Akihiko Shiota, and actor Tatsuya Mori.
