Anna Karenina made her choice, leaving her son Sergei to grow up struggling to understand why his mother took such a tragic and terrible path, and Count Vronsky haunted by the memory of the woman for whose death he still blames himself 30 years later. In 1904, in the aftermath of one of the battles of the Russo-Japanese war, Sergei Karenin and Alexei Vronsky find themselves thrown together in a remote Manchurian village, where fate offers them a chance to return to the events long past and, finally, to find the answers both have long been seeking.

Anna Karénine, l'histoire de Vronski est un drame historique russe réalisé par Karen Chakhnazarov et sorti en 2017. Il s'agit d'une adaptation du roman Anna Karénine de Léon Tolstoï et de l'essai Durant la Guerre japonaise ainsi que des Contes de la guerre japonaise de Vikenti Veressaïev.

Production

Les préparatifs du tournage ont débuté en janvier 2015, tandis que l'écriture du scénario s'effectuait depuis 2013.

Le tournage a commencé début 2016 dans les studios Mosfilm à Moscou, à Saint-Pétersbourg et à Bogoroditsk. Les extérieurs ont notamment été tournés en Crimée, où un village chinois a été construit puis incendié. Le tournage s'est terminé en juillet 2016.
