Mike Chandler gehört zu den guten Cops und steht kurz davor, seinen wohlverdienten Ruhestand zu genießen. Mit seinem Partner und Schwiegersohn Steve MacAvoy ist er auf einer seiner letzten Routinefahrten unterwegs. Im Schlepptau haben sie den 15-jährigen Kenny, den das Gericht wegen einer Gewalttat zu einer Mitfahrt verdonnert hat. Doch plötzlich wendet sich das Schicksal und die drei werden in einen brutalen Banküberfall mit schwer bewaffneten Männern verwickelt!
