Razor Eaters

Razor Eaters (2003)

Organize. Traumatize. Immortalize.

The front row ticket to an anarchistic rampage of death and destruction. First turned on during a home invasion, the gang's video camera never lets up as they take on the city and become our anti-heros by targeting all those we'd love to see get punished - corrupt politicians, filthy drug dealers, arrogant sports stars... and parking inspectors! Now they're wanted for murder, kidnapping, arson, assault, armed robbery, burglary... And they've got it all on video.

Interesting facts

Razor Eaters is a 2003 Australian crime thriller film written and directed by Shannon Young. The film had its world premiere on 13 July 2003 at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival, and later had a DVD release in July 2006. It follows an anarchist street gang who terrorize those whom they believe deserve punishment.

Production

Young loosely based the film's concept on the "Hedge Burners", a group of vandals that videotaped themselves vandalizing property. He chose to escalate the actions to become more violent for the film, as Young believed that having the Razor Eaters only commit vandalism would "get boring in about half an hour" and that they needed "to have a purpose, a goal".
