Inge Larsen (1924)

Inge Larsen, the daughter of a fisherman, falls in love with Baron Kerr—who also falls for the young woman—and before long, he asks for her hand in marriage. In beginning a new and entirely unfamiliar life with Kerr, Inge leaves behind not only her parents but also her former sweetheart, the fisherman Jan Olsen. Through her marriage to this influential diplomat, Inge now belongs to the upper echelons of society, which includes the nobility. However, Inge faces an adversary in the capricious Evelyne, with whom Kerr had a relationship before marrying Inge.
