Eine junge Familie ist in eine neue Wohnung an den Stadtrand gezogen. Das Kindermädchen, das die Mutter für ihre neugeborene Tochter engagierte, gewann bei den Kindern schnell an Vertrauen. Der ältere Sohn, Egor, spricht eines Tages jedoch das merkwürdige Verhalten der Nanny an. Doch seine Eltern glauben ihm nicht. Der Vater installiert Videokameras, doch auch die zeigen keine Auffälligkeiten – alles in Ordnung. Als Egor eines Tages von der Schule nach Hause kommt, kann er weder seine kleine Schwester noch das Kindermädchen antreffen. Die Eltern befinden sich in einem merkwürdigen Trancezustand und erinnern sich noch nicht einmal daran, dass sie noch eine Tochter hatten. Kurzerhand macht sich Egor mit seinen Freunden auf die Suche nach den beiden. Es stellt sich heraus, dass das Kindermädchen ein uralter slawischer Dämon ist, im Volksmund besser bekannt als ‚Baba Yaga‘.

Baba Yaga: Terror of the Dark Forest will go to the United States and Latin America - Ledafilms acquired all rights, including movie theater rental, in these territories. The film will also be released in Vietnam & Indonesia (CGV), Malaysia (GSC), Singapore (Purple Plan), Taiwan (GaragePlay) & Hong Kong (mm2 Entertainment) and other countries in Southeast Asia (Suraya Filem), Japan (IPA Asia) and the Baltic States (Garsu).
