일본 사회의 어두운 실상을 생생하게 드러내는 사회파 추리극. 교도소 간수인 다몬은 죄수들을 호송하는 임무를 담당하고 있다. 평소처럼 죄수들을 태운 버스를 타고 이동하던 중, 저격총을 든 무리들이 호송차를 습격해 죄수들이 사망하는 사건이 발생한다. 다몬은 다행히 목숨을 건지지만 6개월 정직을 당하고, 자신의 힘으로 이 사건을 조사하기로 한다.

Take Aim at the Police Van is a 1960 Japanese film directed by Seijun Suzuki and starring Michitaro Mizushima.

Production

The Nikkatsu Company conceived Take Aim at the Police Van as a borderless action film, a studio subgenre with internationalized characters and setting. Contract director Seijun Suzuki had previously worked mainly on pop song films, a youth subgenre in which the films were built around an already popular song, and yakuza films with an occasional film noir bent. It also marked the beginning of his practice of co-writing his films.
