Candy Stripers (1978)

At City Hospital, the traditional therapeutic ethos of the "laying on of hands" is in no danger of disappearing. The lovely young candy stripers Pam, Sharon, and Cindy labor to ensure every patient receives specialized and highly personal treatment, always delivered with the most detailed bedside manner. Their eager allegiance to the hippocratic oath doesn't stop with just the patients: the entire hospital staff benefits from their tender loving care. As much as these providers of extra-sensual healthcare enjoy their work, it's regularly at risk of being spoiled by the pesky and uptight Sarge, their staff coordinator. Since it's Sharon's last day on the job, the entire hospital staff has organized a big farewell bash, which promises to be a real ball -- that is, unless Sarge spoils the fun.

Candy Stripers is a 1978 pornographic film by director Bob Chinn and starring Nancy Hoffman and Sharon Thorpe. The film is a comedy about the sexual encounters hospital volunteers have with hospital patients and staff. The title comes from the term candy striper, which is an American term for hospital volunteers, who traditionally wore a red-and-white striped uniform which resembled stick candy.

Production

Richard Pacheco made his debut in the film. Anxiety over acting in his first film had caused him to break out in hives. During his scene with Nancy Hoffman he had great difficulty maintaining his erection.
