Inspired by a long-form Douban post titled "My Girlfriend of Ten Years Is Getting Married Tomorrow", it tells the story of a ten-year love affair between Lü Qinyang and Ling Yiyao. It was released in China on May 20, 2021.

Production

On May 28, 2019, filming for Love Will Tear Us Apart began in Nanjing. On August 16, the film successfully wrapped production in Dunhuang.
