School for Secrets (1946)
Wartime tale of a group of British scientists efforts to develop the first radar system. They did it just in time for it to be used in the Battle of Britain against the might of the Nazi Luftwaffe. Without it the little island could well have been overrun.

In leading supporting roles are Raymond Huntley, John Laurie, David Tomlinson, Ernest Jay and Richard Attenborough. Based on a 1942 RAF training film for would-be 'boffins' and developed with the full co-operation of the Air Ministry, the film celebrates the discovery of radar, its discoverers and the enabling culture. Produced by Two Cities Films, it was shot at Denham Studios with sets designed by the art director Carmen Dillon.
