O operário da construção civil Donald está a ter dificuldade em conseguir comer algo de bom, uma vez que a sua mulher decidiu cozinhar apenas pratos gourmet. Isso, juntamente com as suas constantes reclamações, faz com que ele perca a paciência e lhe dê uma bofetada. No meio da confusão, ele descobre uma nova forma de utilizar o micro-ondas e começa a comer muito melhor. Em pouco tempo, já está a experimentar receitas diferentes. E diferentes tipos de carne.

Microwave Massacre is a 1979 American black comedy horror film directed by Wayne Berwick and starring Jackie Vernon.

Production

Microwave Massacre was directed by Wayne Berwick, the son of Irv Berwick, director of films such as The Monster of Piedras Blancas. Wayne Berwick described his upbringing as growing up on the Universal Studios film lots, and was turned on to horror films such as The Beast with Five Fingers.

Two days before shooting Berwick saw the script, and found what was once "creepy understated humor, was completely over the top" and that the script had become "90 pages of one-liners." Berwick found that this was the only approach towards the film and later claimed an influence of John Landis films and Roger Corman's film The Little Shop of Horrors.

Microwave Massacre was shot in late 1979, with a budget of between $70,000 and $80,000.
