Cuento de amor y traición en el que una Reina y su hijo, son desterrados a una lejana isla por la traición de unos malvados familiares. En la isla, Gvidon mata a un águila que atacaba a un bellos cisne, descubriendo entonces, que el águila encerraba a un malvado mago y el cisne a una bella princesa. Llena de gratitud por su valiente acción, la princesa otorga al chico todos sus deseos, mientras le enseña le verdadero significado del amor y le ayuda a regresar junto a su amado padre, el Zar Saltán.

The Tale of Tsar Saltan is a 1984 Soviet traditionally animated feature film directed by Lev Milchin and Ivan Ivanov-Vano and produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. It is an adaptation of the 1831 poem of the same name by Aleksandr Pushkin. There are few words in the film besides those of the poem itself, which is read from beginning to end by the narrator and the voice actors. Some portions of the poem are skipped.
