Production

Sunethkumara explained that the story was brought to him by Harindu Gunawardena who later produced the film. It allowed him to focus on the creative side of the project and that most of the preproduction was conducted via video conferencing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sunethkumara had always wanted to work on a time-travel scenario and saw the potential in the story after it was reworked on. The pre-production process took four months.
