炎上 (1958)
昭和十九年春，羸弱还有些口吃的青年沟口吾市（市川雷藏 饰）携父亲（浜村純 饰）的书信来到京都骤阁寺（金阁寺），拜访父亲生前的好友田山道诠（中村鴈治郎 饰）。身为主持的田山感念故友的友情，诚心收留了这个无助的青年。沟口谨记父亲对骤阁寺之高的评价，尽心品味着这座寺院的脱俗之美。然而现实种种让他无法忍受，俗不可耐的游客侵染寺院，连崇拜敬仰的主持也让他倍感失望。为保持骤阁寺的神圣，他宁愿将其付之一炬……

Conflagration is a 1958 Japanese drama film directed by Kon Ichikawa. It is based on the Yukio Mishima novel The Temple of the Golden Pavilion. Ichikawa named Conflagration as the favourite among his own films.
