Camp Daze

Camp Daze (2005)

While searching for a way out of the woods, a group of lost friends stumble upon Camp Hiawatha and take up with the teens who are bunking there. But the party's over when they discover that this camp is literally stuck in a time warp -- 1981, to be exact -- and that they're living the same horrible day over and over. Can they escape the wrath of a killer who's silently stalking the campers and their terrified counselors?

Camp Slaughter is a 2005 slasher film written and directed by Alex Pucci, and co-written by Draven Gonzales.

Production and release

Camp Slaughter was conceived as a low-budget homage to the slasher films of the 1980s. Director Alex Pucci and screenwriter Draven Gonzales incorporated elements associated with films such as Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp, while combining the summer-camp slasher setting with a time-loop premise. The film was made with a reported budget of approximately $100,000 and was shot digitally with a small crew and practical special effects.

The film circulated under both Camp Slaughter and its original title, Camp Daze. Two cuts were released: a shorter version of approximately 94 minutes and a 110-minute director's cut. The DVD edition released by Screamkings Productions included behind-the-scenes footage, a featurette on the special effects, trailers and pre- and post-production teasers.
