She became a Warner Bros. contract player and made her 1946 silver screen bow in "Her Kind of Man." Jane went on to numerous cinematic appearances including "Deception," "Night and Day," and "Humoresque" (all 1946), while building a following by posing for several 'cheesecake' magazines both domestic and foreign; in 1947 she had her best known film role in "The Unfaithful," also was seen in "Love and Learn," and "Possessed," and made the first of her eight appearances as Alice McDoakes opposite George O'Hanlon as Joe.
